Join the conversation on health care access in Colorado
Colorado Voices for Coverage is exactly that – a conversation, a sharing of ideas, goals, opinions and research, all aimed at increasing access to quality, affordable health care in Colorado.
The organization will hold its annual conference Dec. 3 at the Colorado History Museum. The Bell works with the lead organizations in Colorado Voices for Coverage, along with many others, on issues related to increasing access to health care.
The theme of the conference is "Creating Solutions: The Future of Health Care in America."
Speakers will analyze the state of health care reform in Colorado and across the nation. They include:
- Michael Miller, policy director at Community Catalyst
- The Rev. Hurmon Hamilton, president of the Greater Boston Interfaith Organization
- Sherry Prowda, director of communications with the Herndon Alliance
The conference also offers an opportunity to develop relationships with new stakeholders and gain knowledge in public policy, organizing and advocacy.
The Colorado Consumer Health Initiative is leading the Colorado Voices for Coverage collaboration and is supported by the Business Health Forum, the Colorado Council of Churches and other organizations. The collaborative is guided by an advisory council made up of diverse consumer groups representing multiple constituencies.
